Filing a Claim
When it comes to filing a claim, our agents at The Surety Bonding Agency strive to help make the process as easy and stress free as possible.
After an accident or disaster, call us at 325-676-2920 as soon as you can and we will give you the steps needed to filing your claim. If you need to start the claims process outside of our regular business hours, contact your insurance carrier directly, and then contact us once we are back in the office.
If you have a claim that involves a fire, flood, or theft, please call the appropriate authorities. Then you will need to protect your damaged property with appropriate repairs that can be finished safely so more damage does not occur. An example of this is putting down a tarp on a roof that has been leaking or boarding up a window that has had its glass shattered. Don’t forget to file all of your receipts for supplies you need to buy for these repairs.
If you have been involved in a major collision or recreational vehicle accident, make sure to move your vehicle to a safe place if possible. Then call the local authorities for any necessary medical assistance for either yourself or others involved. Remember to remain at the scene! When authorities arrive, be sure to cooperate and answer their questions to the best of your ability, but don’t admit fault to anyone. Write down addresses, phone numbers, and the types of vehicles involved. Also, be sure to get contact information from any witnesses of the accident, should you need them in your claim. Take photos of the damage that has occurred if at all possible.
